About

Where femininity meets fandom.

We make feminine, statement sportswear for people who love the game but don't want to dress like they borrowed their dad's football shirt. Think: football culture, but hotter. Match day, but main character. Sportswear, but with a waistline, a point of view, and a bit of attitude.

Hot Take getting ready in London, May 2026
The brand, out on a London pitch

Hot Take was created because women and queer fans have always been part of football, but the clothes, the culture, and the marketing haven't always acted like it. Too often, sportswear is designed with one type of fan in mind: oversized, masculine, safe, and predictable. We're here to change that. Not by pushing anyone out. By making more room.

We believe sport is better when everyone feels like they belong in it. Whether you grew up watching every match, got into football through the Euros, fancy half the team, love the outfits, or just want something cute to wear to the pub on game day, you count. Your version of fandom is real. Hot Take sits at the intersection of sport, fashion, femininity, and confidence. We're inspired by football shirts, terrace culture, pop girls, 2000s styling, club nights, queer joy, girlhood, and the kind of confidence that makes people stare a little bit. Our pieces are made for the fans who want to support their team without disappearing into a sea of boxy navy polyester. For the girls, gays, theys, and anyone else who knows that loving football and looking hot are not mutually exclusive.

2.5% of every sale goes to Goals 4 Girls, the award-winning charity we are proud to partner with. They pair football coaching with mentoring and mental health support for young women in the communities where the barriers sit highest. We transfer the money monthly and publish the running total here every quarter, with the first one landing in September.

Independently designed and made. Not affiliated with any football club, federation, league, or sponsor.

Sustainability.

Honest version: we're a one-shirt brand on Drop 01, and the fabric is recycled polyester mesh because it has the give the smocking needs. The factory is one we vetted in person and one used by other small labels we've watched make it work, so we know what we're paying for. We don't claim circular and we don't claim deadstock, and we'll only claim what we can prove when we can prove it.

2.5% of every shirt sold goes to women's football, all of it to Goals 4 Girls. That's the receipt we lead with. Anything else we add, we'll add with proof.
